I am a wedding, lifestyle and concept photographer based in East London, South Africa and available for destination photography. I am passionate about the finer details of wedding photography and making artistic visions come to life. Photography is a passion of mine which started at a young age. When I took the family camera on my travels. This trusty manual, film Minolta camera went with me everywhere from my hometown to the Middle East and eventually died in England at the Nottinghill Carnival. A sad day it was indeed.
To replace that beautiful Minolta my rocking husband bought me another film camera. And then came the age of digital photography. My dad ever being the generous man that he is bought me my first professional camera Ð the Canon 20D Ð that helped me get this business off the ground and I havenÕt looked back since!
In addition to being a professional photographer there are quirks, loves and fancies that make me who I am and influence the ways in which I interpret scenes and find creative expression in my photography. . .
In my everyday life I live in East London with my husband, beautiful daughter, two dogs and three cats. WeÕre a switch off the lights after dark, pull out the torches and play hide and seek kind of familyÉ and if it werenÕt for my husband and daughter saying ÒNo!Ó in unison every time I mention the idea, the kid in me would jangle the bells and put up the Christmas tree and lights in September! We aim to make recycling big in our lives. I love having my crazy family around and I am a fierce mother hen when it comes to protecting them.
I enjoy getting back to nature, rainy days and beautiful light, along with road tripping and travelling. I adore the simple things Ð a good laugh, a great movie or curling up with a good book for the day. Organic and beautifully prepared food , and drinking lots of water are staples for my soul and my fridge.
I am terrified of heights and cockroaches give me the heebie jeebies! Washing the dishes is not one of favorite pass times and I try to palm it off to my husband most of the time. I have never had brain freeze Ð thereÕs a slight pang of jealousy when I see somebody get one! But if you want to know what chest freeze feels like, IÕm the one to ask. I have an enquiring mind and need to know how things work. And donÕt expect me to stop at the first why, IÕll keep asking until I am satisfied. My music tastes range from Òooh thatÕs coolÓ to Òwhat are you on woman?Ó. And for the most part, musicals are tedious with just two exceptions Ð Chicago and that one episode of GreyÕs Anatomy (which by the way is reason why I know how to perform a heart transplant #winkwink)
